Product Concept and Relevance
High-cuff, no-toe knit socks (or transformable styles) worn over open ankles or under shoes/boots, featuring a textural, voluminous pattern (stylized botanical motifs / Celtic or folk ornaments). The photo displays two colorways: a rich burgundy/wine and a deep anthracite-gray with a contrasting green pattern.
2. Fabric and Materials
To achieve a premium aesthetic, maintain pattern structure, and ensure comfort while wearing, a blended composition is recommended:
- Main Yarn (Base):
- 50% Merino Wool (warmth, noble appearance, softness without itchiness).
- 50% High-Quality Acrylic (durability, resistance to pilling, shape retention after washing, cost reduction).
- Alternative (Premium Segment): 30% Alpaca, 50% Merino, 20% Polyamide.
- Elastic Band (Cuffs top and bottom): Adding 3–5% elastane/spandex for secure fit around the calf without slippage or constricting circulation.
Production and Technology
Production Method: Machine knitting on circular or flat knitting computers (equipment classes 5G or 7G are used to achieve a distinct, dense texture).
- Pattern Creation Technique: Jacquard knitting or three-dimensional embossed patterned knitting (pressed weave) that creates a handmade effect.
- Production Stages:
- Developing the programmable punch card/pattern file for the knitting machine.
- Knitting the «sleeve» (cylindrical blank) with elastic ribbing at the edges.
- Wet heat treatment (WHT) for shrinkage and fabric stabilization.
- Quality control, branding (sewn-in tag), and individual packaging.
