The primary objective of this project was to completely overhaul the sound design track for the film Alien (1979) trailer.
The music was entirely rewritten and generated in Suno to match the atmosphere of Jerry Goldsmith’s original soundtrack—dark, orchestral, with building tension and sharp dynamic accents. All sound effects—ambient noise, impacts, whooshes, the sound of an egg cracking, muffled struggle, female breathing, and footsteps—were sourced and placed in Reaper: some were taken from free sound libraries, some were separately generated by neural networks, and all were refined manually.
The original trailer’s main stylistic feature is minimalism and atmosphere. There is almost no voiceover or explanation; the emphasis is placed on visual tension, music, and sound design, which create a feeling of inevitable threat.
This characteristic was intentionally preserved: the new music and sound design do not overload the visuals; instead, they contribute to the same sense of anxious, slowly building atmosphere, intensifying the feeling of isolation and danger. The final assembly and precise synchronization of all tracks with the video were completed during the editing stage.
