Династия Роз. Иллюстрированная книга про историю английской династии Тюдоров
The book «The Rose Dynasty» tells the story of the Tudors—the dynasty of English monarchs of the 15th and 16th centuries. The book presents the history from the genesis of the future dynasty, the end of the Wars of the Roses, how Henry VII and Elizabeth of York ascended the throne, how their son Henry VIII ruled, detailing each of his six wives, his son Edward VI, and his daughters Mary and Elizabeth I.Genre: historical fiction.
This book may interest a broad spectrum of readers: — those interested in history; — those intrigued by a specific period after encountering it through other media (in the case of the Tudors, this includes the universe of George R. R. Martin’s A Song of Ice and Fire, which drew inspiration from English history when crafting his world); — those fascinated by the atmosphere of old England, and those who wish to learn more about the heroines of the famous rhyme: «Divorced, decapitated, dead; divorced, decapitated, survived.»
The book would fill an existing demand for a specific historical period. Again, thanks to other media inspired by history, this draws attention, but the market now requires more literature specifically about old history. Books by Tudor (and earlier English) era authors such as Alison Weir (Azbuka), Philippa Gregory, Elizabeth Chadwick, and Elizabeth Freemanatley are being translated and reissued. There is a demand that an illustrated book would perfectly satisfy.
The final product includes a book of at least 60 pages and additional merchandise in the form of themed bookmarks and postcards.
There are either no competitors in the illustrative aspect or they are negligible, allowing a significant presence in the market among interested individuals. Those interested in the history and/or the novels of the aforementioned writers will appreciate the illustrative additions that reveal the atmosphere and are enhanced by the author’s vision and references.
I will execute the project entirely on my own. The text, illustrations, and mockup design all belong to me.
