The House That Doesn’t Exist

This project explores photography as proof of things that never existed. Using AI, in a natural landscape, it generates not interior objects, but traces of their absent presence: a shadow from a window where there is no window, grass pressed by a bed where there is no bed, or the reflection of a frame in water without the frame itself. The house exists only through its consequences—like a memory of an event that never happened. Here, AI creates convincing evidence of an absent cause, challenging the conventional trust in photography as a document of reality.
