The project explores sleep as a form of escapism—a state situated between rest and flight from reality. This occurs when the bed integrates space for sleep, relaxation, work, and entertainment, simultaneously offering sanctuary from external demands and expectations. However, the comfort derived from this isolation gradually gives way to apathy, anxiety, and guilt over inaction. As anxiety intensifies and returning to activity becomes increasingly difficult, this creates a vicious cycle. At the heart of the project lies the contradiction between the pleasure of inertia and the guilt associated with it—between the desire to disappear from reality and the fear of missing out on one’s own life.
