Concept
«SPECIMEN 00» — a T-shirt inspired by «Object: Zero, ” our tabletop game about biological disaster and the fight for genetic samples. The back features an escaped creature from the laboratory: a massive carapace, a scarlet membrane, and sharp claws against the backdrop of a research complex. The inscriptions „CLASS: UNKNOWN“ and „STATUS: ESCAPED“ transform the print into a classified file. Humans created these creatures for experiments, but now they themselves are forced to hunt what they can no longer control.

How to make
Technology—DTG, direct-to-garment printing. The print is based on a detailed illustration featuring fine engraving hatching, halftone texture, and complex color gradients. DTG allows for the reproduction of small design elements while maintaining a relatively soft application surface, unlike the more tactile DTF film.Since the t-shirt is black, the fabric requires pretreatment and a white underbase for the color image prior to printing. This process ensures the contrast of the creature’s light carapace, the saturation of the red accents, and the legibility of the typography.
