Tadpoles are dishes inspired by Peruvian ceramics. I borrowed geometric motifs and simplicity from the Peruvians, and I also incorporated their sacred animals, giving them a slight human touch. The series resulted in three pieces: a human-serpent, a human-fish, and a human-bird.
Workflow

The interior of the bowls was finished using the sgraffito technique: first, a white engobe was applied and allowed to dry, and then a design was scratched into it with a stylus. On the exterior, however, I applied the pattern with the same white engobe, but using a brush instead of a stylus.
