Наложение росписи на архитектуру показывает, что история городов — это не только стены, но и непрерывное живое развитие культуры на протяжении столетий. Каждый регион Золотого кольца получает уникальный «визуальный паспорт», где промысел объясняет характер места: Нижегородская область (Нижний Новгород, Городец): Строгая геометрия древних монастырей смягчается яркой, сказочной Городецкой росписью с ее конями, птицами и цветами, символизирующими купеческий разгул и богатство Волги. Ярославская область (Ярославль, Ростов Великий): Благородная, ювелирная Ростовская финифть идеально обрамляет белокаменные храмы и тд.
