A series of three ceramic boxes, each featuring an animal figurine on the lid—a crocodile, a fish, and a turtle—was created. Each piece differs in shape, proportion, and color palette. Two boxes are made from red clay, while one is made from white clay.Special attention was paid to glaze experiments in this work. All pieces are coated with effervescent glazes that create non-uniform surfaces, color gradients, and diverse textures. Combining several glazes allowed for the unique character of each box to emerge.
Crocodile

The white clay casket is coated with greenish-brown glazes that transition into golden hues. The uneven surface texture emphasizes the volumetric form of the piece, and the crocodile figurine serves as the main decorative accent.

Fish
A small caddy, crafted from red clay, is decorated using blue, beige, and cherry glazes. The fish figurine was designed to stand vertically, but it fell during the firing process, resulting in a final pose that differs from the original concept.
Turtle
A trinket box made of red clay with a dark blue glaze. A turtle figurine adorns the lid. During the second firing, the lid warped, altering its shape from the original design.
