«Below the grass»
«Below the grass» is a children’s playground constructed by the GES-2 House of Culture. I participated in the creation of an animation project promoting this playground.
The main goal of the project was to create an animation that would visualize a question asked to young children: «What if you suddenly became very small and the world around you became huge?»

Prior to animating, I familiarized myself with the style and the color palette of the project.While working, I ran into a problem — I did not have the textured brush that was required for the line art. In order to solve this, I experimented with the brush settings in Clip Studio Paint until I achieved the necessary resemblance.

After tackling the problem with the line art, I started working on the animation. Before the clean-up, I made sure to send my process to the supervisor to correct the characters’ movements. The next step was to color my scenes using the required color palette.As a result, I created three scenes for this project, and all of them were included in the final animation with almost no edits.

«In the Box» was the first music video I have ever created, for the Russian band «Oloonoon».The main goal of the project was to create a full-fledged story about childhood memories that can help you rediscover yourself and your long-forgotten dreams.

First character concepts for the music video «In the box»
In the end, we decided that the main character would have two versions. The adult version was made using 2D frame-by-frame animation, and the child version was made using felt in stop-motion.The yellow bird, which serves as a little guardian for the hero, was also made of felt, as it holds the memories of his childhood.

To further enhance the feeling of nostalgia, I decided to draw the backgrounds using a soft color palette.

A lot of effort was put into developing the plot. My main goal was to show the transformation of the hero throughout the story.In the beginning, he is sad and tired, but in the end he is happy, because he remembers his childhood dreams.

The final product turned out to be a 3:28-minute music clip with a simple yet relatable story and a melodic song.

«Methods of resolving conflicts» is a three-minute explainer video for the University of Tyumen.Its purpose is to explain to students the five main methods of conflict resolution according to Thomas-Kilmann in a humorous manner.
