We are accustomed to reading traffic signs, but we rarely look at them closely. In this series, bright circles, squares, and triangles are contrasted against light facades, plaster textures, and architectural details. This color contrast gives rise to another: the buildings invite us to pause our gaze, while the signs demand immediate action. Blocking the street or setting a rhythm, directional signs dictate how we perceive the city. These photographs invite us to step away from familiar instructions and notice the signs' sheer presence—their color, size, and proximity to windows, trees, and people. This is an attempt to uncover the unexpected within the necessary and the commonplace.
