Concept
The pencil skirt reinterprets the classic fitted silhouette through the aesthetics of Italian theatricality and decorative maximalism. Printed suiting fabric, satin boning straps, and metal grommets create a striking look where the strictness of the form combines with sensuality and pronounced ornamentation. The piece becomes part of a wardrobe that transforms the mundane into a spectacle and a tool for self-presentation.

Pattern Layout
Processing
The hem of the skirt is finished with a turned-up edge. The back panel seam typically features a concealed zipper for closure. At the bottom of the back seam, starting from the knee level, a slit has been cut to allow for freedom of movement. The top edge of the skirt is finished with a waistband that provides a neat fit at the waistline. The satin plackets are backed with a adhesive material, and the edges are finished to maintain shape and allow for the quality installation of metal grommets. The lacing serves a decorative function and emphasizes the structural features of the garment.
