Each participant received a random base image and was tasked with reassembling it in the aesthetic language of a chosen music label or artist. I received a photo of a sale window display: jarring red lettering, a neon-yellow background, and price tags layered on top of each other.

I chose the «GOST ZVUK» label and transformed the retail window’s advertising shout into sound: speakers and horns replaced the price tag, the label’s name repeats in a column, like a sample on a repeat loop, and the raster and pixel glitches function as noise and signal distortion.

The label title is repeated vertically (as shown in the sample) and placed on a loop. It establishes a visual rhythm for the poster. The color palette is compressed to two dominant colors: red and acid yellow. The cool blue from the original display remains only as a rare accent, so the connection to the source material can be perceived.
The works were exhibited at the HSE Art and Design School gallery in Vinzavod; the opening was October 20.
