Hello!
My name is Nik and i’m an independent designer.
POSITIONING & APPROACH
Personal Info
→ 20 years old, Saint Petersburg, 4th-year student at the HSE Art and Design School (Communication Design Typography profile).
Design Approach
→ I confidently work with strict grids and clean minimalism, but I am also deeply involved in raw, expressive visual experiments. I know how to blend these styles to get a unique result. For me, the hands-on process and a fresh perspective are everything. I trust my hands, explore materials, and turn experimental chaos into controlled design systems.
Positioning
→ B2B. Focused on creative partnerships, freelance contracts, and project-based work with design studios and agencies.
TA
→ Art Directors, Creative Directors, Founders of independent design studios and boutique branding agencies.
Tools
→ InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator.
PROJECTS
01. BRANDING
WeatherProof Sharing
systematic approach
Context & Problem
→ 2-month educational module, 2024 → Saint Petersburg has completely unpredictable weather changes. Seasons overlap, and sudden rain or wind constantly ruins urban mobility for locals and tourists.
Solution & Visual System
→ A seasonal, short-term rental ecosystem for weather-protective gear (umbrellas, raincoats, scarves, caps) with per-minute billing via an automated terminal network. → Technical metadata — sizes, protection levels (RAIN, WIND, SUN), and seasonal parameters — is used as the core typographic identity across the POS-materials, garments, and stations.

02. CONCEPT
Puzzle Calendar
object design, time experiments
Context & Approach
→ 2-month educational module on calendar systems, 2025 → A completely conceptual, experimental project on the edge of typography and object design. Here, time is treated as a fluid material rather than a fixed grid.
The Concept
→ The calendar as a tactile «time constructor» that turns abstract time into a daily ritual. It allows users to break down, transform, and rebuild the structure of a month, making the interaction process more important than the final result.
