Rublev developed a distinct artistic system defined by exceptional harmony of color, rhythmic compositional balance, and profound spiritual depth. Andrei Rublev’s style took shape through collaboration with the leading masters of his time — Theophanes the Greek and Daniil Cherny — with whom he worked on the frescoes of the Annunciation Cathedral in Moscow and the Dormition Cathedral in Vladimir. His icon The Trinity, created for the Trinity Cathedral of the Trinity Lavra of St. Sergius, is recognized as the pinnacle of Orthodox iconography and is included on the UNESCO World Heritage List. Rublev’s frescoes and icons, including the celebrated Zvenigorod Deësis Tier, are preserved in the State Tretyakov Gallery and the Andrei Rublev Museum of Old Russian Art.
