Boolu — Ghostly Friends

Boolu — Ghostly Friends is a series of collectible vinyl figures in the shape of cute ghosts. All the figures share the same silhouette: a round head, a draped «skirt,» and small arms. They differ only in their paintwork. Each ghost represents a memory of a cherished place or event: a movie on a moonlit night, dinner with family in a cozy kitchen, a meeting in an autumn forest, or playing in puddles in a rainy city.

The toys are sold in sealed «surprise» boxes. Inside is a card featuring the ghost’s name, a brief story, and its rarity. The series grows in seasonal waves, and the overall design creates a visually cohesive collection on the shelf.

Base form: a single body approximately 7 cm high with a universal silhouette and a relatively flat base. It stands stably and looks good in a line with similar toys. The face is minimalist and highly stylized: two dot eyes and a small mouth. Expression and color are changed through painting/decoration.

What makes every ghost unique: — body decoration (pattern, gradient, texture); — a «fingerprint accessory» drawn directly onto the body: a scarf, a flower, a patch; — color; — name and a mini-story on the card.

1. Seasonal Waves (4 per year). Each wave is unified by a theme: «Night, ” „Sweets, ” „Ocean, ” or „Festival.“ Each wave features 6 main ghosts plus 1 secret one.2. Rarity System. Common (50%), Rare (35%), Epic (15%). The latter differentiate special finishes on the same form.3. Collaborations. Release of limited-edition, unique ghosts. The base form remains recognizable while the styles change.4. Form Expansion without compromising unity. Mini-versions (3 cm) for sets and „large“ versions (15 cm) for limited runs. The silhouette is preserved.5. Inter-Wave Connection. Ghosts from different waves „meet“ in the card stories, allowing collectors to unravel the shared lore.6. Contests. Release of white „blank“ ghosts for independent painting and hosting an open vote, where the best pieces are included in the series.
