Chopova Lowena — inspired belt
CONCEPT
This piece is part of a project inspired by the Toledo Troopers team. It is a belt for a girl who stepped onto a field where she wasn’t expected. I am merging the aesthetics of hard sports with Eastern European folklore. The broken metal heart symbolizes the vulnerability that must be hidden beneath aggressive defense, while the metal hooks and spikes allude to sports equipment. This accessory is for the «weird girl» who claims this field as her own.
TECHNICAL SKETCH
PROCESS
The belt design was developed by me. My father brought the idea to life, fabricating all the metal hardware (the hooks and the broken heart) based on my sketches. Initially, he created prototypes on a 3D printer before cutting them out of metal sheets using a laser cutter. The base is made from genuine leather. This emphasizes the connection to history and craftsmanship (like in the Chopova Lowena brand), but through my own family, not just «artisans.»
