Concept
The project reinterprets the working uniform of a Victorian nurse, thereby playing on the idea of disobedience and rebellion against the rules of a patriarchal world. Her apron is no longer a symbol of obedience; it is a symbol of protest and self-reliance.

The apron skirt is a direct interpretation of female protest and a refusal to accept the role of one who must comply and obey. This led to the creation of a piece that combines black stiff leather, a mini skirt, and a decorative apron modeled after a replica of a real Victorian nurse’s uniform.
Form Exploration
The garment is constructed on a short, fitted base and an elongated front apron.
The apron is sewn onto the waistband, extends below the base, and features four pleats.
The zipper is located at the center of the back.
The garment has a dropped waistline.
