«Clear Blue» is a collection of collectible toys based on a diploma animation project of the same name, which explores themes of friendship, separation, and the fear of growing up. The collection features five figures: Nikko, Imu, and three fantasy fish—symbols of childhood and imagination. The characters are reimagined in chibi proportions: enlarged heads, compact bodies, and rounded shapes lend them a soft, friendly appearance. The series is unified by its consistent plastic molding, vibrant color palette, decorative painting, and round blue bases. The primary production variant is a Nikko figure, approximately 10 cm tall without a base, designed for 3D printing from plastic followed by painting. Imu and the fish are presented as conceptual visualizations.

The collection translates characters and imagery from the animated world into physical objects that can be kept as a memento of friendship and childhood.
Why is this series structured this way?
Nicco and Ima represent the human element of the narrative—friendship and the experience of growing up. The fish capture its symbolic aspect: imagination, freedom, and a child’s perspective on the world. Together, they form a collection of characters and symbols within one animated space. The three fish differ in silhouette, color, and decoration while maintaining a cohesive character.

Character Adaptation for Toy Format
The original proportions have been simplified to a chibi style: oversized head, short limbs, and a compact silhouette. Nicko’s recognizable elements are preserved—the blue shirt, dark shorts, yellow Crocs, and bandana. Small accessories have been replaced with painted details, the holes in the shoes have been removed, and the arms have been moved away from the body. Before preparing the model for printing, the thickness of the parts, the geometry, and stability will be checked.

Series Development
The collection can be expanded with new characters and symbols from the animation world, including whales. Another way to develop the line is through new painting variations on existing figurines. The overall silhouette, character scale, and base design remain consistent.
