Prospekt Mira, 15—the address in the town of Fryazino where I spent my childhood. I lived there for 16 years before moving to Moscow. Since then, the apartment has been vacant.
In this project, I explore how the perception of space connected to personal memory changes. Through interior objects, traces of a former life, and my own presence in the frame, I attempt to convey the gap between the memory of a home and its actual state in the present. I am interested in how a familiar place can simultaneously retain a sense of closeness and become unfamiliar, and how returning to it helps reveal personal changes and the impossibility of returning to the past.
I wander through the apartment. The camera conveys my sweeping gaze, catching details of past life within the space. I realize: what happened here will not return; I have changed, and some loved ones are gone. Growing up, irreversibility, and estrangement.
