Concept
We created both the graphics and typography in this poster using templates: each person received a shape that we outlined. I had a shape with two contours—a rectangle and a closed, jagged line, resembling a thorn. From that, I created a cardboard stencil.

The poster concept is built around two images connected to Tuva and the vibrations produced by throat singing:
1. Carpets — the Tuvan people are traditionally a nomadic group engaged in carpet weaving. 2. Khladni Figures — geometric patterns and symmetrical shapes formed from fine sand or salt on the surface of a taut, vibrating membrane under the influence of sound waves.
This is how ornaments, a central composition, and symmetry appeared in the poster.

The poster was created manually across nine sheets of A4 paper. Initially, stencils were cut using a template, and then the sheets were developed using the stencils and aerosol paint. The texture that appears at the edges of the forms resembles the sand used in Khladni’s figures. Afterward, we scanned the finished sheets, printed them, and attached them with tape on the back.
