The poster was created in two stages. First, while listening to a jazz trio, we selected photographs from personal archives; then, we augmented them with letters cut from adhesive paper and painter’s tape. The free placement of text, the layering of elements, and the manipulation of scale allowed us to convey the rhythm and improvisational nature of jazz.
