Concept
«After Us» is a photo series depicting the imagined future of Earth centuries after the disappearance of human civilization.
The core of the project features iconic architectural structures that once symbolized the greatness, progress, and achievements of humanity. Now, they have become part of the natural landscape—vanishing beneath layers of ice, submerging into water, lying buried under sand, or being gradually consumed by vegetation.
The project does not depict the catastrophe itself, nor does it explain the reasons for humanity’s vanishing. Instead, it addresses its distant aftermath, exploring the flow of time, the fragility of human achievements, and nature’s capacity to exist independently of us.
Idea
The core concept is to depict a world where humanity is no longer the center of everything, and the symbols of eternity created by humans gradually transform into remnants of the past.
