The laboratory always tells its two halves:

I created a merch concept that repeats this idea.
The gray long-sleeve is dense and structured—it speaks to form and labor. Inside it is a neon undershirt, barely visible. The two halves don’t merge into one, nor do they contradict each other. They simply exist simultaneously—and that is the whole.
The difference is visible from the back. The circle is open, and in the opening appears a second element: quiet and vibrant within one piece. SLIT 01. You can wear it all together. Or you can wear just a half.
Core Design Solutions and Fabrication
Palette: wet asphalt, gray-green, dusty linen. Acid lime #7FA524
The «PROSVET 01» set consists of two independent pieces that can be worn together or separately:
Long Sleeve (Outer Layer) — oversized, dropped shoulder, long sleeve, deep U-neck on the back. Made from 2-ply knit, 240 g/m² footer.Tank Top (Inner Layer) — sleeveless, fitted, made from 65–80 g/m² acid-dyed viscose mesh lining. It is only visible through the U-neck and extends 2 cm below the bottom hem of the long sleeve, showing slightly at the neckline.The pieces are connected at four points: stitched into the neckline seam of the long sleeve and secured with two 1.0 cm fasteners on the sides at the bust level. The inner layer can be worn separately.
The base sample size is women’s M (46–48). All patterns in the set are constructed and marked for size M. The intended size range for the series is S, M, L, XL.
The main structural solution is a U-cutout in the backrest, finished with an open edge.
The idea wasn’t to create dancewear. The idea was to create garments structured in the same way as what we are investigating.
Half of the process involves the body—skill, density, effort. The other half involves energy practices, attention, readiness, and responsiveness. Within the laboratory, these are two distinct vectors, and we don’t choose between them: we embrace a «YES, AND…» approach and hold onto both.
PROSVET 01 embodies both literally. On top is a gray, dense, calm layer—what maintains the shape. Beneath it is a vibrant, acidic, translucent layer—what breathes and moves. From the front, the garment looks cohesive and almost structured. From the back, the circle is open, revealing the second layer. It is the same principle as on stage: the external form and the inner life occur simultaneously, allowing the viewer to perceive both.
The final show is the material manifestation of a process. Merchandise is the same manifestation, only it can be worn.
