Relief Ceramic Tile «Cardboard Sun»

PROTECT STATUS: not protected

Concept:
The main idea is that joy can be made by your own hands. The cartoon characters do not wait for the sun to peek out from behind the clouds. They grab cardboard, scissors, and glue, and create the light themselves. The tile tells us that warmth is born from imagination, play, and caring for those around us.

Moodboard

Children’s creativity and joy as interior design material. Tiles inspired by a scene from the cartoon «Smeshariki, ” where the characters craft a sun out of cardboard. This handmade, slightly imperfect sun shines genuinely because it was made with love. The image is framed within the tile square and accompanied by a cheerful inscription.

Format: 10×10 cm square (after firing), 8–10 mm thick. It is ideal for modular compositions.

Stages of Work: plasticine original → mold → plaster cast → slip casting → drying → firing → glazing → second firing
