SECOND ERA — a research project dedicated to the Russian vintage and resale market. Based on market analysis, a survey of over 200 people, and an original rating of Russian brands, we developed an exhibition booth for «New Fashion Days» at the «Tsvetnoy» department store.
The installation served as a visual extension of the research, combining its key findings with items that reflect the culture of consumption and resale.
DISPLAY CONCEPT
Things live longer than we think. They pass from hand to hand, retaining the traces of different eras and owners. Today, people no longer choose between old and new; instead, they mix items based on their own style and preferences. We embodied this idea in an installation made of branded bags, boxes, and mannequin fragments. Items from various brands and price points are unified in a single composition that reflects the combination of vintage and contemporary fashion in daily wardrobes.

DESIGN AND IMPLEMENTATION

Material Curation
For the installation, we gathered packages and boxes from various brands—ranging from mass-market to luxury—to demonstrate the diversity of contemporary wardrobes and the blending of different price points.
A distinct element of the composition consisted of two plastic mannequin legs and an arm, which we painted by hand. These added volume to the installation and made the piece more expressive.
The foundation of the structure was a white metal mesh, onto which we placed an informational poster detailing the key research findings: a ranking of Russian vintage projects, evaluation criteria, and survey data. The volumetric part of the installation was constructed from branded bags, boxes, and fragments of a mannequin. The objects were arranged on various levels, creating a layered composition around the informational poster.
